President's Message 2023-2024
We are pleased to welcome you to our official website on behalf of this chapter's Phenomenal Women of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated, Phi Epsilon Omega Chapter. I am the chapter's 14th President. Serving the Harvey/Dixmoor community for over 20 years has been an honor and a privilege in the truest sense of the word. Through the years, we have provided excellent service to the community, and we look forward to doing even better in the future. Please take some time to browse our website. Our aim is to be very intentional as we make an effect both inside this beautiful sisterhood and the community as we begin our 24th year of service.
Phi Epsilon Omega was chartered in the Central Region on January 23, 1999. Since the beginning of our chapter, we have dedicated ourselves to providing programs in the areas of economic strength, health and wellness, the arts, college readiness, and college scholarships to the Harvey-Dixmoor and surrounding communities.
Numerous scholarships have been given out by the Phi Epsilon Omega Chapter to students in the Harvey-Dixmoor region. Additionally, the chapter annually offers school supplies and health checks to the neighborhood's kids and families.
We have discovered that as individuals, families, communities, and institutions advance, so does our community. Therefore, in accordance with our motto of "Service to all mankind," each of those entities is covered by our services. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® continues to be a vital 21st-century service organization that attends to some of the pressing needs in our communities under the direction of Ms. Danette Anthony Reed, our 31st International Greek letter organization President.
There are six initiatives for the incoming administration, which will be in office from 2022 until 2026. The administration's "Foundation Initiative" is to "Strengthen Our Sisterhood," with the theme of "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood." By enhancing our ties, this "Foundation Initiative" will help us fulfill our service objective.
The remaining five initiatives will serve as the “Program Initiatives:”
Empower Our Families
Build Our Economic Wealth
Enhance Our Environment
Advocate for Social Justice
Uplift Our Local Community
We will help our brothers and sisters in the African Diaspora around the world in addition to supporting global initiatives. We'll work together as a sisterhood to serve the community.
We appreciate you visiting our website to learn more about the Harvey-Dixmoor community services provided by the Women of Phi Epsilon Omega (in Pursuit of Excellent Outcomes) Chapter.
In gratitude,
Mrs. Charlotte Curtis, President
Phi Epsilon Omega Chapter
